Although neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is commonly considered neurocutaneous, severe arterial and venous abnormalities have been noted. Our patient, a 28-year-old woman, had bilateral giant extracranial aneurysms of the internal carotid arteries as well as skull base meningoceles involving the jugular foramina and aberrant jugular veins. CT and MR imaging, as well as digital subtraction and/o...
متن کاملInternal jugular vein duplication and fenestration: Case series and literature review.
We present three cases of duplicated or fenestrated internal jugular veins in patients undergoing neck dissection, including the first known case of concomitant bovine aortic arch. The prevalence of this anomaly is 1.0% (three out of 295 patients). Internal jugular vein duplication and fenestration may risk iatrogenic injury to the vasculature and spinal accessory nerve during neck dissection. ...

Background: In kidney transplantation decision about the proper kidney donation is different between surgeons, but simple vasculature anatomy and a kidney without abnormalities are the most important reasons of choosing a kidney. Therefore complete assessment of renal vessels of a live donor with noninvasive techniques is a necessity for nephrectomy. For delineation of the kidney vasculature...
